The Education Committee sponsors an Adopt-A-School Program which awards
grants to western Pennsylvania schools for environmental science projects.

The Education Committee also conducts teacher training workshops on
environmental topics and participates in regional science fairs, career fairs
and education-related exhibitions.

The workshops are open to teachers from elementary and secondary public
and private schools in the Section's region.

The workshops last a full day and are conducted several times throughout
the year. The Section helps to underwrite the cost of substitute teachers for
attendees and provides educational materials to those attending the workshops.
